TPARK Bangna was the first Logistics Park to receive promotion from the Board of Investment (BOI). The intention was to create a facility to assist integrated logistics operations and enhance the competitiveness of Thailand's exports and domestic business.

List of Activities Eligible for Promotion within Logistics Park

DISTRIBUTION CENTER (DC)

Conditions and Privileges

• Projects must be modern distribution centers controlled by a computer system that is approved by the BOI.
• Projects can store only imported goods that have had duties paid or goods that have already been through custom clearance using other privileges, such as goods exempted from import duty under investment promotion measures or other items as specified by the Director-General of the BOI.
• Regarding tax and duty privileges, only privileges on machinery will be granted according to zone.

INTERNATIONAL DISTRIBUTION CENTER (IDC)

Conditions and Privileges

• The center will distribute goods abroad with transportation/delivery, storage, packing and inventory control services for customers.
• The center will distribute goods abroad to at least five countries.
• The project will have a warehouse area of at least 5,000 square meters and modern storage and loading equipment.
• The project will have a modern inventory system controlled by Information and Communication Technology and Online Track and Trace tracking system as approved by the Board.
• Thai nationals will hold not less than 51 percent of the total registered capital of the project.
• The project will be approved by relevant government agencies.
• The project will be granted an exemption of import duty on machinery. In cases where projects are located inside a logistics park, the project will be granted an eight-year corporate income tax exemption. In cases where located outside a logistics park, the project will be granted a five-year corporate income tax exemption regardless of zone. Revenue derived from domestic distribution, customs procedures and booking reservations for sea or air carriage will not be included in the corporate income tax exemption.

INTERNATIONAL PROCUREMENT CENTER (IPO)

Conditions and Privileges

• Projects must be modern distribution centers controlled by a computer system that has been approved by the Board.
• Projects must provide these activities: sourcing, quality controlling of goods and components, and packaging.
• Goods and components must be procured from various suppliers both domestically and internationally.
• Projects will receive tax and duty privileges, as follows, regardless of zone:
  a) Exemption from import duty on machinery
  b) Exemption from import duty on raw materials
